Terms & Conditions

Customer Acceptance of Terms

 

By registering with CentriPost and or requesting, booking, paying for, or using any services provided by Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any applicable Service Agreements, Tariffs, Bills of Lading, Warehouse Receipts, or Transportation Contracts.

Customer Responsibilities

 

Customers are solely responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information regarding:

 

  • Shipment descriptions and contents

  • Pickup and delivery addresses

  • Recipient contact information

  • Package dimensions and weight

  • Declared value of goods

  • Customs and regulatory documentation

  • Special handling requirements

  • Dangerous goods declarations where applicable

 

Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. shall not be liable for delays, additional costs, penalties, failed deliveries, customs holds, or losses resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by the customer.

Limitation of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

 

  • Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.

  • Liability for loss, damage, delay, or non-delivery of shipments shall be limited as specified in the applicable transportation agreement, bill of lading, carrier tariff, warehouse receipt, or governing service contract.

  • Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. does not guarantee uninterrupted service, exact delivery dates, customs clearance times, or carrier performance unless expressly agreed in writing.

 

Service Guarantees

 

While Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. strives to provide reliable logistics services, all transit times, delivery estimates, and service schedules are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless specifically identified as guaranteed services under a separate written agreement.

 

Service interruptions may occur due to:

 

  • Weather conditions

  • Natural disasters

  • Labor disruptions

  • Customs inspections

  • Government actions

  • Transportation network disruptions

  • Cybersecurity incidents

  • Force majeure events

  • Third-party carrier delays

Prohibited and Restricted Items

 

Customers may not tender, ship, store, transport, or request services involving prohibited or illegal items, including but not limited to:

 

Prohibited Items

 

  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Stolen property

  • Human remains (except where specifically authorized)

  • Hazardous waste

  • Explosives, fireworks, ammunition, and detonators

  • Illegal weapons or prohibited weapon components

  • Radioactive materials

  • Toxic chemicals and poisons

  • Items prohibited by local, state, federal, or international law

  • Goods intended for sanctioned individuals, entities, or countries in violation of applicable trade regulations

Restricted Items (Subject to Prior Approval)

 

  • Lithium batteries

  • Hazardous materials (HAZMAT)

  • Alcoholic beverages

  • Tobacco and nicotine products

  • Pharmaceuticals and medical devices

  • Live animals

  • High-value items

  • Precious metals, gemstones, and jewelry

  • Firearms where legally permitted and properly documented

  • Controlled technology exports

Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable transportation, export control, import, customs, and regulatory requirements.

 

Right to Refuse Service

 

Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. reserves the right to refuse, suspend, delay, inspect, return, or dispose of any shipment or cargo that:

 

  • Violates applicable laws or regulations

  • Contains prohibited or undeclared restricted items

  • Presents safety, security, environmental, or compliance risks

  • Contains inaccurate or misleading shipment information

  • Is suspected of fraudulent or illegal activity

Updates to Prohibited Items List

 

The prohibited and restricted items list will be updated periodically to reflect changes in laws, regulations, carrier requirements, industry standards, safety considerations, and international trade restrictions. Customers are responsible for reviewing the most current version of the list before submitting shipments.

 

The most current version of the Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy shall govern all shipments and services provided by Vernon G. Edwards Ltd.
