Exchange/Cancellation Policy

Shipment and Service Cancellations

Customers may cancel booked services by providing written notice. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the service type and stage of execution. Any third-party costs, carrier fees, customs charges, supplier deposits, warehousing fees, administrative costs, and expenses incurred prior to cancellation are non-refundable unless recovered by the Company. Once cargo has been collected, dispatched, consolidated, or tendered to a carrier, or once sourcing work has commenced, refunds may not be available. The Company reserves the right to deduct all reasonable costs incurred prior to cancellation from any refund due.

Cancellation requests are subject to review and approval based on the status of the shipment or service at the time the request is received.

Cancellation Deadline

Customers may cancel a shipment or service request without penalty if the cancellation request is received before processing, booking confirmation, dispatch, pickup, warehouse intake, customs filing, or commencement of services by Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. or its service providers.

Once operational activities have begun, cancellation may be limited or unavailable depending on the nature of the services performed and costs incurred.

Cancellation Fees

Approved cancellations may be subject to reasonable cancellation fees, including but not limited to:

  • Administrative processing fees

  • Carrier reservation or booking fees

  • Warehouse scheduling fees

  • Customs filing or documentation fees

  • Third-party vendor charges

  • Costs incurred in preparation for service delivery

Any applicable cancellation fees will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.

Shipments Already Processed or Dispatched

Cancellation requests generally cannot be honored once:

  • A shipment has been picked up

  • Transportation has commenced

  • Cargo has been loaded or dispatched

  • Warehouse receiving or handling services have begun

  • Customs declarations or regulatory filings have been submitted

  • Third-party carrier services have been engaged

  • Delivery is in progress

In such cases, customers may remain responsible for all charges incurred, including transportation, handling, storage, customs, administrative, return, recovery, redelivery, or disposal costs.

Attempted Shipment Recall or Intercept

If a customer requests that a shipment be recalled, intercepted, rerouted, returned, or stopped after dispatch, Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. may attempt to facilitate the request but does not guarantee that such action will be possible.

Any additional costs, carrier fees, storage charges, customs fees, return transportation costs, or other expenses associated with the request shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.

Company-Initiated Cancellations

Vernon G. Edwards Ltd. reserves the right to cancel, suspend, delay, or refuse any shipment or service request that:

  • Violates applicable laws or regulations

  • Involves prohibited or restricted items

  • Contains inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information

  • Creates safety, security, operational, or compliance concerns

  • Cannot be fulfilled due to circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control

Where appropriate, any eligible refund will be processed in accordance with the Company's Refund Policy.

No refunds, credits, or liability shall arise from delays, cancellations, interruptions, or service failures caused by events beyond the reasonable control of Vernon G. Edwards Ltd., including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, labor disputes, government actions, customs delays, transportation disruptions, public health emergencies, cyber incidents, or other force majeure events.
